Why Cabo? Top 8 Reasons Why You Should Plan a Visit

From honeymooners to spring breakers to families, Cabo San Lucas has something to offer everyone. There are many reasons to love Cabo, but here are a few of our favorites.

1. The Climate

Cabo has some of the best climate you can find on the planet - and it has it almost all year ‘round. Its an arid climate, so it’s generally very sunny. The sun’s rays can be intense, but with a nice pair of shades, A/C, water access, and some sunblock, you will always be good to go. The average yearly temperature is a beautiful 78ºF - perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and touristy excursions. It only rains an average of 13 days per year (in the fall), and although the humidity level can vary throughout the seasons, it is typically very comfortable and at its worst, never insufferable. Though late August through early October is technically considered rainy/storm season, the reality is that very few hurricanes or even tropical storms ever happen in Cabo. While there might be a couple rainy days during your stay, it’s the perfect chance to relax in the spa, take a cooking class, shop, or simply enjoy your villa. You can see more about the weather in our Cabo Weather Guide here.

2. Direct Access

Many airports have direct flights to Cabo, making it a convenient place to travel, even if just for a weekend. Some southern states in the U.S. also have surprisingly affordable airfare to Cabo, as it is a more casual, quick destination. Check if your airport has a direct flight here.

3. The Beaches and Oceanfront

It’s no secret that most Cabo visitors come for the world-famous beaches. The shorelines are spacious and inviting, the water is pristine, and the number of beaches to explore are plentiful. Many of the Cabo San Lucas beaches have been designated as “Blue Flag Beaches”, an award given to communities that promote environmental education and stewardship. Whether you’re into water sports, sunbathing, or simply diving into the crystal clear water, Cabo has a beach for you. Like to surf? Check out Cerrito’s Beach.
